The group tackle various skills and activities such as learning how do make up, and make pizza and coffee, to communicating where and when pain happens.
The Teen Academy group takes place once a year, over the course of a week during the summer.
Presented by Sandra Mackay and Lesley Nutton at the European Academy on Childhood Disability International Conference on Cerebral Palsy and other Childhood-onset Disabilities (Stockholm 1– 4 June 2016) this poster explores “Teen Academy” ~ Working with teenagers who have Cerebral Palsy: what goals do they set & what outcomes do they report?
The videos below were created as part of a group therapy block for teenagers held here at Bobath Scotland in December 2013. The main goal of the group was to work together to produce video guides on independent living skills which could benefit other teenagers like them.
