Teen Academy

Teen Academy is our group for young people with cerebral palsy aged 14-18. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other teenagers with cerebral palsy, as well as take part in a bunch of fun activities.

Run by Bobath's team of therapists, Teen Academy is all about getting together with people your own age to learn useful skills and try new hobbies. In past groups, teens have had a go at DJing, make-up skills, cooking and video production.

Teen Academy typically takes place once a year, over the course of a week during the summer.

You can apply to take part in Teen Academy at any time. Please fill in our online form, or for more information give us a call on 0141 352 5000.

Teen Academy Research

Presented by Sandra Mackay and Lesley Nutton at the European Academy on Childhood Disability International Conference on Cerebral Palsy and other Childhood-onset Disabilities (Stockholm 1– 4 June 2016) this poster explores “Teen Academy” ~ Working with teenagers who have Cerebral Palsy: what goals do they set & what outcomes do they report?

Teen Academy Video Guides

The videos below were created as part of a group therapy block for teenagers held here at Bobath Scotland in December 2013.  The main goal of the group was to work together to produce video guides on independent living skills which could benefit other teenagers like them.
