World CP Conference – Exhibitors

A summary of a few of the exhibitors who will be attending the conference this year.

The annual World CP Conference will be held on 4th October this year at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow. There will be a variety of exhibitors speaking at the conference, relating to people of all ages and abilities. This year’s conference will focus on three main areas; babies and children, teenagers and the transition into adulthood, and adults. Some of the exhibitors taking part include;

Theraplay is a family owned and run business which has been manufacturing specialist cycles for over 40 years.

“Cycling offers many individuals the chance to exercise in a safe and controlled manner, having both a therapeutic benefit as well as a recreational value. The use of an adaptive cycle can improve a rider's balance, improve coordination and help strengthen muscles in riders with disabilities. Cycling is a fun activity so some riders may not fully appreciate the benefit they receive from turning the pedals, instead they will just enjoy the freedom of movement it provides and the thrill of pedalling as fast as they can, at Theraplay we refer to this as FUN THERAPY.”

Neuro Physio Scotland

 Neuro Physio Scotland is a group of independent physiotherapists who specialise in the treatment of neurological disorders that affect the brain or spinal cord.  If you are recovering from a neurological illness or have a neurological condition, they aim to help you get the best chance to achieve your maximum level of fitness through specialist physiotherapy.  Their team of neurological physiotherapists can visit you in your own home where you will receive the treatments to help your recovery and improve your quality of life. They help people with neurological conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injury, head injury, adult cerebral palsy, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease. They provide a home-visit service within Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Aberdeen and many of the surrounding communities.
