Bobath Parents Talk - Growing Up!

To complement our group work we are holding a discussion session for parents to talk about how CP impacts their child's life, health issues in adolescence, participation, education, specific CP-related issues, family issues, practical issues and changes associated with adolescence.
What: Talk aimed at parents who have a pre-adolescent, adolescent or young person who attends a mainstream school and who would like to know more about supporting their child to develop the skills to make their own decisions and understand their right to make choices, how to make those choices and when to ask for support, and to meet parents of other young people with CP.
Topics will touch apon:
- knowledge and skills
- encouraging independence
- confidence building
- health and lifestyle
- daily living
- college, work and the future
- managing emotions
Why: We certainly don't have all the answers but would like to share what we do know. And we would love you to come and share what you know.
When: Friday 12th April 10:30-12:30pm
Where: Bobath Cerebral Palsy Centre, 10 High Craighall Road
