Bobath Heroes & Fundraising

At Bobath Scotland we're very lucky to have the support of some fantastic fundraisers, whose generous support allows us to help as many people as possible who are living with CP in Scotland. Here are their stories;

The Collie Family

The Collie family are some of Bobath’s most dedicated supporters, and over the years they’ve raised both money and awareness about Bobath and CP within their community. On December 4th of this year they held a ‘Ladies Sparkling Afternoon Tea’ in aid of Bobath, and as with all of their events, it was a roaring success! Guests raised an incredible £2,100.20 through raffles and donations, and if that wasn’t enough, Campbell Dallas Chartered Accountants agreed to match fund £2000, taking the total to a whopping £4,100.20!

Sharon said “It’s a pleasure to fundraise for Bobath Scotland – our family have benefited from the fantastic therapy given by the therapists for 10 years. It’s good to be able to give something back – roll on next year for more fundraising!”

Steven’s Barbershop

Over the past few years, staff and customers at Steven’s Barbershop have raised an incredible £3,500 for Bobath, and we are so grateful that they have chosen to champion us as their local charity.

"As a small business we are inundated with requests for donations to different charities, three years ago we decided to choose one charity to concentrate on. Bobath was an obvious choice for us as several local children benefit from their fantastic services. Our customers have been extremely generous in helping us achieve the fabulous £3500 that we have donated to date”

Amanda Oneill

Amanda, along with her friends and family, has quickly become one of our top supporters here at the centre and we are so grateful for her very generous support. Amanda’s son Ryan attends Bobath for therapy, and said;

“Bobath is not just a block of treatment for Ryan, it’s life changing therapy. Bobath has become a huge part of our life, we fundraise for this amazing charity because without them our son wouldn’t be where he is just now on his journey. If holding these fundraising events allows us to educate people on who Bobath are and what they do for people living with cerebral palsy, I would fundraise every single day. Thank you for being part of our sons life so far, here’s to many more amazing blocks of therapy throughout Ryan’s years.”

Amanda recently took part in a sponsored bag pack along with supporters from Bannan Fitness, where they raised an incredible £1500!
