You can help maintain this life-changing service by making a one-off or regular donation. If you are a UK income tax payer, you can maximise your donation through Gift Aid scheme. To enable us to claim Gift Aid, adding 25p to every £1 you donate at no cost to you, please complete the Gift Aid declaration. This will mean your gift can support even more people with cerebral palsy from across Scotland who desperately need your help.
There is no cure for cerebral palsy, but with the right kind of therapy, a person’s life can be transformed. We can only keep providing this much-needed therapy through the generosity of ordinary people from across Scotland – people just like you. Committing to a regular sum means that we can depend on the money you send to secure the future of our unique, specialist therapy services. As the only centre of our kind in Scotland, we are a lifeline for families dealing with cerebral palsy. To give monthly, please use the donation form here and select monthly under the ‘donation frequency’ section.
Payroll Giving is an easy, tax-free way to make a regular donation straight from your salary. And, because it’s tax-free, it costs you less to give more to Bobath Scotland. Payroll Giving ensures that your employer deducts your donation from your salary each week or month before tax. As tax has not been deducted from it, your donation will be worth more than the amount you have paid.
An example: if you want to give us a £10 monthly donation, the actual cost to you would be only £8 if you pay tax at the basic rate of 20%, while it would be only £6 if you pay tax at the higher rate of 40%. Some employers even offer ‘matched giving’ schemes, where they add to your donation, helping us even more at no extra cost to you.
You can donate through Payroll Giving so long as you get paid weekly or monthly through PAYE and your employer runs a Payroll Giving scheme. You can make your donations anonymously if you prefer, and there is no need for your employer to find out which charities you support if you wish to keep it private, as the forms are processed externally. The government website has more information on Payroll Giving.

When writing their wills, everyone’s first priority is to take care of family and loved ones. But after you’ve provided for those close to you, you may want to ensure that your support for the causes dear to your heart also continues after you have passed on. Leaving a gift to Bobath Scotland in your will is a very special way to help guarantee that the charity thrives for decades to come, and it means that you can personally help future generations of people with cerebral palsy. The gift that you leave us will be completely free of inheritance tax, meaning that more of your money goes straight to helping the children who attend the centre. You can;
We do advise you to consult a solicitor before making a will, to ensure that your wishes are clearly stated. Your solicitor will discuss these options with you, and will insert the appropriate clause in your will. They will need to quote our full title and charity number, which is: Bobath Scotland, charity number: SC022695
